The IODE/OTGA Quality Management System Essentials for NODCs and ADUs training course concluded on 5 November. The training course provided an introduction for IODE National Oceanographic Data Centres and Associate Data Units to develop and implement a Quality Management System. The concept of quality management has become increasingly significant for data centres to meet national and international competency standards for delivery of data products and services and the IODE Quality Management Framework encourages NODCs and ADUs to implement a quality management system which will lead to the accreditation.

The course was delivered online over a 3-week period and provided interactive learning and assessment content. The course was delivered by specialists from the Marine Institute, Ireland, an Accredited IODE National Oceanographic Data Centre.
